By looking at a local shop and viewed their magazine section, I noticed that the music genre magazines are within main eye line to all customers. Other magazines such as for a more mature age group are placed higher up at the top of the shelf in order to not offend or discomfort any customers who do not wish to see it.
Children's magazines are placed also within eye line yet below the music magazines as we could argue that children are more likely to see them from that angle or that as they do not contain explicit content that customers do not mind seeing them displayed. The music magazines are placed within their genres such as 'KERRANG' being a rock magazine is placed next to other magazines of its kind eg: 'MOJO'. All of the music magazines are put on the same shelf and split into the different genres.
