Costume and image research

 

The image here makeup looks that I have researched into for my model. The makeup above is stereotypically intended to create a strong and powerful appearance on the woman and I wish to incorporate this on my model for my shoot. Females in rock or bands usually have an edgy and dark look to connote with their musical genre.

 

 

 

 The female in this photo is sporting a stereotypical 'rock girl' or 'punky' hair style. The messy style of hair links well to 'rockers' as rock fans are usually seen as easy going and fun people who dont take much consideration into how they are viwed by others, they are stereotyypically seen as rebellious and this is equally shown in the womans choice of hair colour. The red highlights an edgy and uniqe look which many female rock artists sport.

In order to make my model believeable as a rock artist I will take into consideration all of the research I have done and all of the stereotypes and typical conventions of women in rock music today. I will have my model dressed in dark colours with one colour to highlight power or lust such as red and her hair will be messy and ruffled to emphasise the 'rocker' in her and believeably portray an easy going teen who attends gigs and enjoys the image and sound of the rock genre.
